Thomas Eugene Butts

Thomas Eugene Butts age 67 of Eldorado passed away September 28, 2022 at Select Specialty Care Center in Evansville Indiana.

Tom was born September 17, 1955 in Eldorado to Charles A. Butts and Wilmerene {Shores} Butts-Braden.  He was married to the former Annette Stiener of Pocohontas, IL and they had a son James Thomas {JT Butts} Ambuehl.

He was a graduate of the Eldorado High School Class of 1973. He was a life guard and trainer for the Eldorado Pool. He played softball.  He loved riding his Schwinn bike especially in the Shawnee National Forest.  He was a truck driver, farm hand, and he worked at Wilson Kitchens in Harrisburg. He was a avid sports fan of all sports, but L A Dodgers was his favorite. And he loved watching tv, movies, and sports.

He is survived by his son JT of St. Peters, MO. A brother Charles W. {Carline} Butts of Quebeck, TN, a sister Anita Diane {Gary} Goedelmann of Eldorado. Nephews Justin Butts {Lia} of Taiwan, Travis {Jessica} Heath of Eldorado. Nieces: Katie Martin of  Eldorado, and Mariah {Seth} Dunn of Mt. Vernon, IN.  Great nephews: Clayton Dennis, Gage Heath and Rhett Potter of Eldorado, and Liam Dunn of Mt. Vernon, IN. Great nieces: Tessa Heath of Harrisburg, Kaydence and Madison Dunn of Mt. Vernon, IN and Great niece Camreigh Dennis of Eldorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Van Buren and Anna Mabel Butts and James Thomas and Grace Elizabeth Shores. Former wives Mona Sigler and Sharon VanZant, several Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.

Per his wishes he was cremated and burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Cave-in-Rock. A memorial service will held at Straightgate Ministries,  2403 Locust St.  Eldorado on November 5^th. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm with service following at 1pm. Pastor Curt Morris will officiate.
