Thomas Anthony Lasher “Tony”, 82, of Evansville, Indiana passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024. He was born January 19, 1942 to Raphael (Ray) and Madeline (Stallings) Lasher.
He joined the Navy in 1959 and served in the Cuban missile crisis of 1962. He proudly served his country as a submariner until the Navy found out that he was color blind. Tony had many jobs after his military service. He managed the Christmas Lake Country Club and American Legion in Santa Claus, Indiana. His last career was as a realtor for 50 years.
He was an avid golfer and his favorite golf course is Christmas Lake. He would say “golf is only as good as the people you are playing with”.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Griese and puppy, Lady; his sons, Wesley and Michael Lasher; daughters, Trish (Ed) Lasher Bowen and Amy Lasher Bellomy; step-children: Scott (Elizabeth) Dorman and Marti (Jeff) File; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim Lasher and John Lasher(Rose); sisters, Mary Pat Harpenal (Lennie) and Theresa Howard (Stan). He is preceded in death by his parents.
Prayer service will be led by Father Ted Tempel.
