Wolfgang Franz Grubler of Jasper, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born on September 28, 1948 in Fulda, Germany to the late Gerhard and Mathilde (Steffens) Grubler.
Wolfgang was a music lover, history buff, and world traveler. He found beauty in the simple things and nature. He loved life, the outdoors, gardening, spending time with family & friends, camping, bike riding, roller blading, and ice skating. He enjoyed long walks with his dog, Oreo (Snuffles), evenings outdoors drinking a glass of red wine and listening to the Grateful Dead, and most of all he loved doing these things with his wife (Marilyn). He shared his culture and was eager to learn others.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marilyn Ann Grubler; children, Florian Grubler of Marburg, Germany, Fabian Grubler of Wien, Austria, Julian (Alex) Grubler of Berlin, Germany; stepdaughter Tonya Hief of Jasper, IN; grandchildren, Helge Grubler of Berlin, Germany, Noah, Mariah, and Collin Hief of Jasper, IN; sister: Elke (Walter) Bauer of Burstadt, Germany;
and brother, Ekkehard Grubler of Offenbach, Germany.
